Miami Gardens, FL — The move to Hard Rock Stadium is certainly working out for the 2019 Miami Open presented by Itaú. Saturday’s day session drew 32,831 fans, a new all-time record for attendance for a single session.

With record-breaking crowds on both Thursday and Friday, Saturday continued the streak with fans from all around the world making their way into the Miami Open’s new tennis campus at Hard Rock Stadium.

The previous record of 18,910 set in 2007 was first broken on Thursday with 21,825 visitors coming for Session 5. Friday’s total of 29,019 then broke that record only to have it topped yet again by Saturday’s haul of almost 33,000.

With Roger Federer, Naomi Osaka, Petra Kvitova, and Stan Wawrinka all in action and the sun shining bright on a beautiful spring weekend, there were bound to be big crowds on the middle Saturday of the two-week tournament.

Even more big names are scheduled to see the court on Day 7. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, reigning French Open champion Simona Halep, and defending champs here in Miami John Isner and Sloane Stephens will all play on Sunday.
