Talk about big time tennis action. The first Friday at the 2014 Sony Open Tennis promises to be among the most memorable ever with iconic names taking Stadium Court early and often, including Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic – back to back during the Day Session – and 3-time Sony Open champ Venus Williams and last year’s men’s champion Andy Murray in the Night Session.

In total, the participants on Stadium Court this Friday, have a combined 34 Grand Slams. If ever there was a time to play hooky from a day of work, surely it’s this Friday!

Besides the all-time greats, the No. 3 ranked woman and Indian Wells finalist, Agnieszka Radwanska, also debut at the Sony Open on Stadium Court. Radwanska takes on Romina Oprandi to finish off the Day Session.

After reaching the final at Indian Wells, Federer comes into the Sony Open in fine form and will take on big-serving Ivo Karlovic after Na’s match. Then it’s time for BNP Paribas champion Djokovic to take the court for his second round match against Jeremy Chardy.

The Night Session kicks off with the older Williams sister matching rackets Anna Schmiedlova, followed by two-time Sony champ and current Wimbledon titleholder Murray facing Matthew Ebden.

And that’s just on the stadium court!

The outer courts will be just as action packed with fourth seed David Ferrer, up-and-comer Grigor Dimitrov and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga playing on Grandstand, while ninth seed Richard Gasquet and Caroline Wozniacki debuting on Court 1.

And if your neck needs a break from following tennis balls back and forth stop by the Entertainment Stage Friday at 6 p.m. for FILA Friday Night. DJ Clinton Sparks will be spinning the turntables with help from an ATP athlete. Fans can listen to tunes while dining in the food court as they await the start of the evening session. The event ends around 8:15 p.m.
