The Miami Open presented by Itaú will be here before you know it, and we are once again looking to put together the best volunteer team in sports.

Our first year at Hard Rock Stadium was a tremendous success, and the 2020 Miami Open is shaping up to be even better. For more than three decades, the Miami Open has been bringing the best in sports, food, fashion, art and entertainment to the Magic City, and the 2020 event will continue to be an innovator within the world of sports and entertainment.

The Miami Open will take place March 23 – April 5, 2020, and we are very excited to continue growing the event in year two at our state-of-the-art home. Working with our partners at Hard Rock Stadium, we will provide an unparalleled experience for all our guests with improved amenities, best‐in‐class hospitality, permanent retail facilities, and upgraded entertainment spaces.

The continued support and dedication of our more than 900 volunteers is what makes the Miami Open the success that it is today. If you are enthusiastic, hard-working and love tennis, we’ve got an amazing opportunity for you!

Volunteer Benefits:

  • LACOSTE UNIFORM – Two tournament shirts, a jacket and a hat. Please provide your own khaki shorts or slacks.
  • COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS – Ten tickets for Stadium Court with seat assignments to the following dates/times:
    • 2 Tickets – Wednesday, March 25 night session
    • 2 Tickets – Thursday, March 26 day session
    • 2 Tickets – Thursday, March 26 night session
    • 2 Tickets – Monday, March 30 night session
    • 2 Tickets – Wednesday, April 1 day session
      (Please note – No exchanges will be given)
  • PHOTO CREDENTIAL – With access to Stadium Court seating on certain days.
  • MEAL COUPONS – $15 per shift worked / $30 maximum per day.
  • FREE PARKING – On days you are volunteering.

In return we ask the following commitment from you:

  • A minimum of NINE (9) SHIFTS OF FIVE (5) to SIX (6) HOURS each. Note – you may double up your shifts to commit to fewer days.
  • Attend a training session for the volunteer area you are assigned. You will be notified of the date and time of your mandatory training session by March 1.
  • Be a goodwill Ambassador to the tournament while on and off duty.
  • Give 14 shifts by Thursday, April 2, and you will be rewarded with four (4) tickets to the Women’s Semi-final, day or night session.
  • Give 16 shifts by Thursday, April 2 and you will be rewarded with two (2) tickets to the Women’s Finals on Saturday, April 4, in addition to four (4) tickets to the Women’s Semi-final, day or night session.

NOTE: All additional shifts MUST be completed by Thursday, April 2, to receive reward tickets.

  • TRANSPORTATION VOLUNTEER DRIVERS ONLY: (this does not apply to Airport Greeters) Give 20 shifts by Friday, April 3 and be rewarded with four (4) tickets for the Women’s Finals on Saturday, April 4 plus one premium parking pass for Saturday, April 4, in addition to four (4) tickets for a Women’s Semi-final, day or night session.

The tournament will take place March 23 – April 5, 2020 and we are very excited to continue growing the event in year two at our state-of-the-art home. Working with our partners at Hard Rock Stadium, we will provide an unparalleled experience for all our guests with improved amenities, best‐in‐class hospitality, permanent retail facilities, and upgraded entertainment spaces.

** You must be 13 years old by March 22nd, 2020 to apply as a Ballperson.

BENEFITS:

1. Attractive Lacoste uniform including 2 t-shirts and 2 shorts for men or 2 dresses for ladies. Everyone also receives a jacket, hat, long pants, 2 pairs of socks, SUNGLASSES and SHOES.
2. Meal credits for each shift worked, plus daily snacks & drinks ($20 for AM and $15 for PM shifts).
3. Ten (10) stadium tickets for family and/or friends as follows:
· Wednesday, March 25th day
· Sunday, March 29th night
· Tuesday, March 31st day
· Tuesday, March 31st night
· Wednesday, April 1st night
4. Dance Party at the end of the tournament with prizes, food and fun.
5. Photo ID badge allowing you access into the Tournament during the days you work or are not working and want to watch.
6. Free parking pass for the days you’re working.
7. Post-tournament letter stating you have completed at least 65 hours of volunteering as a Ballperson. In some instances, this may be used as community service.
