2021 Volunteer Application

The 2021 Miami Open presented by Itaú is ready to return to Hard Rock Stadium March 22-April 4, 2021. We are once again looking to gather the best volunteer team in sports.

The support and dedication of our volunteers is what makes the Miami Open one of the world’s premier sports entertainment events.
The health and safety of everyone is our utmost priority. Due to current COVID restrictions, the tournament will have a limited number of volunteer positions this year.
Please review the updated commitment requirements and information regarding our volunteer program below. Please note that volunteer applications must be received by March 10, 2021 to be eligible.

As a Volunteer you will receive the following benefits:

  • LACOSTE UNIFORM – Two tournament shirts, a jacket and hat. Please provide your own khaki shorts or slacks.
  • PHOTO CREDENTIAL – With access to Courts with seating on specific days.
  • MEAL COUPONS – $15 per shift worked / $30 maximum per day.
  • FREE PARKING – On days you are volunteering.

In return we ask the following commitment from you:

  • A minimum of SIX (6) SHIFTS consisting of 5-6 HOURS each. Note – you may double up your shifts to commit to fewer days.
  • Attend a training session for the volunteer area assigned. You will be notified of the date and time of your mandatory training session by March 5.

PROTOCOLS FOR COVID:

  • Volunteers in designated areas will be required to take a PCR COVID-19 test at your orientation prior to the start of the tournament and receive a negative result.
  • Temperature checks and screening will be administered daily upon entry to the tournament.
  • Additional PCR COVID-19 testing will be administered throughout the event on TBD dates.
  • Facial masks/coverings will be mandatory.
  • Hand Sanitizing stations will be available throughout the site.

2021 Ballperson Application

The 2021 Miami Open presented by Itaú is ready to return to Hard Rock Stadium March 22-April 4, 2021.

Ballpersons play a vital role in every tournament’s success and the Miami Open is world renowned for having the best Ballperson team in tennis.

The support and dedication of our more than 400 Ballpersons is what makes the Miami Open one of the world’s premier sports entertainment events. If you are enthusiastic, hardworking, love tennis and are looking for an experience you will never forget, then we want you to be a part of our team! After all, there is no better seat than being on the court working directly with the players!

Due to current COVID restrictions and the WTA/ATP tournament requirements, this year Ballpersons must be 14 years or older by March 21st, 2021 and provide proof of age, if requested. Please review the Ballperson benefits package information below:

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS WILL BE SENT UPON APPLICATION CONFIRMATION

BENEFITS:

  • Attractive Lacoste uniform including 2 t-shirts and 2 shorts for men or 2 dresses for ladies. Everyone also receives a jacket, hat, long pants, 2 pairs of socks, mask and SHOES
  • Meal credits for each shift worked, plus daily snacks & drinks ($20 for AM and $15 for PM shifts)
  • Photo ID badge allowing you access into the Tournament during the days you work or are not working and want to watch
  • Free parking pass for the days you’re working
  • Post-tournament letter stating you have completed at least 65 hours of volunteering as a Ballperson. In some instances, this may be used as community service.
