More Than a Match: Women’s Empowerment Day at the Miami Open

03.17.26

Welcome to Women's Empowerment Day at the 2026 Miami Open.

A full day of experiences honoring the power of women in sports, business, and beyond.

March 17 marks more than a day of tennis: it’s a full-scale celebration of women at the Miami Open. In honor of Women’s History Month, the Miami Open presented by Itaú proudly presents Women’s Empowerment Day, a campuswide celebration filled with immersive experiences leading up to a star-powered panel at 5 p.m. From creative expressions of individuality to conversations led by women who have succeeded at the highest levels, the day underscores what the Miami Open represents: top-tier competition served alongside a sense of community and belonging.

Starting at 10 a.m., guests are invited to explore campus and take in the energy of the day. Make sure to stop by the Fountains at any point to create a permanent bracelet by Link X Lous to serve as a meaningful reminder of the day and the people you shared it with.

As you work up an appetite while walking around, check out the Seed food truck in The Grove. All day long, they’re offering a “Girl Dinner” special, the classic Caesar salad and fries meal we all know and love. From there, turn around to The Grove or Grandstand Bar to toast to Martina Navratilova, the first female champion in Miami Open history, with today’s drink special: the Martina Tini.

As the afternoon progresses, the Fountain Aisles will transform into the heartbeat of the entire campus. Starting at 3 p.m., guests are invited to discover their perfect palette with a personalized color analysis by The Color Girl. Find the shades that were made for you and step forward with confidence, with sessions running through 6:30 p.m.

At 4 p.m., the Fountains come alive with sights and sounds. A breathtaking Lollipop Aerialist takes center stage, bringing the tournament to new heights with a showstopping performance, while electronic violinist Kiara sets the tone with a striking blend of classical and contemporary sound. Be sure to arrive early, as the first guests at the Fountains will receive a limited-edition floral fan, perfect for cooling you down for the matches ahead.

At 5 p.m., all eyes turn to the Fountain Plaza Stage for the Women’s Empowerment Panel. Olympic gold medalist and gymnast Nastia Liukin, fitness personality and mental-health advocate Kendall Toole, and 2018 Miami Open champion Sloane Stephens come together for a powerful conversation about their experiences navigating sports, business, and life at the most elite level of athletics.

With inspiration around every corner, you won’t want to miss a moment of Women’s Empowerment Day. We’ll see you at the Fountains!
