Before the brackets fill in and the night sessions steal the spotlight, the Miami Open begins the way Miami does best: with food, music, and entertainment. 

Opening Day is officially here, starting at 10 a.m. and running through the end of play. Admission is free for all fans (just make sure you already claimed a ticket), making it the easiest way to step inside the Open before the tournament shifts into high gear. Single-elimination qualifying rounds will be featured on the outer courts, providing the perfect opportunity to wander and see all that campus has to offer.

There’s something for the foodies, music lovers, diehard tennis fans, casual watchers and everyone in between.

Eat Your Way Through Opening Day

Opening Day marks the debut of Ace the Taste, the Miami Open’s new culinary passport experience. For $45, fans can select any six menu items from the participating locations listed below and gather stamps for their passport as they go. This offer is for Opening Day only, so make sure you’ve added it to your ticket prior to arriving, or head to a GE HQ once on-site to purchase yours!

Beyond the passport, the full culinary roster is sure to impress even the harshest critic: cool down with a Fresh Del Monte signature Courtside Smoothie, grab a familiar favorite at Miami Slice, then head over to Dobel Tequila Club to try the tournament’s official cocktail, the Ace Paloma. 

Campus in Motion

Be sure to keep your head on a swivel as you make your way through campus. From partner booths packed with activities and giveaways, to tennis jugglers roaming about, the Publix Padel Park offering open play throughout the day and the Piper‑Heidsieck SkyView floating overhead, there’s no shortage of fun to be had. 

As the sun rises in the sky, the afternoon heats up in more ways than one. At Palm Court, American Social will be hosting a live DJ from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to get the lively atmosphere going. Hora Loca takes over campus from 1 to 2 p.m., bringing a “crazy hour” of lively dancing, bold music and colorful performances. Take a look at the Activities page for a list of each day’s highlights!

Off the Court, On the Mic

From 2 – 3 p.m. on the Podium Stage The Player’s Box Podcast – featuring Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, Jennifer Brady, and Desirae Krawczyk – goes live. They’ll be talking about life on tour, what fans don’t see, what players actually think about, and how the sport feels from the inside.

At 3:45 p.m. on the same stage, join former American tennis stars John Isner, Steve Johnson, and Jack Sock as they hope to serve up more laughs than Grand Slam titles in a live recording of their podcast Nothing Major.

Just the Warmup Set

Whether you come for the tennis, the food, the music, or the energy of it all, Opening Day is your chance to wander, taste, and take in the tournament at your own pace.
